This position is accountable for helping to establish the successful and effective management of productivity, quality control, labor and safety measures within the operation.Responsibilities/DutiesCommunicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributionsContribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans; prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems and identify trendsDevelop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shippingAnalyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changesMaintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulationsManage relationships with key operations vendorsServe as primary point of contact when there are issues related to equipment qualityWork closely with Vice President of 3D Solutions and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementationPerform quality controls and monitor production KPIsOversee appropriate materials and plan inventoryWork with Human Resources to recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employeesOther duties as business needs ariseQualifications/SkillsA bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or related field preferred5 + years of experience in an operations management roleExperience in 3D/Additive Manufacturing experience preferredKnowledge of production managementExcellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operationsStrong managerial and supervisory skillsStrong problem-solving capability, willing to roll up sleeves and get dirtyExcellent communication skills (written and verbal).Strong computer skills including MS OfficeExperience using an ERP system with an aptitude for learning new software applicationsThorough understanding of general safety requirements
