3D CAD Designer

Are you a skilled CAD Designer who loves seeing their digital models come to life on the shop floor? We are looking for a 3D CAD Designer with strong expertise in SolidWorks to join our fast-paced steel fabrication team.
In this hands-on, dynamic role, you won't just be sitting behind a desk-you will manage 3D design files, oversee fabrication projects from concept to completion, and work directly alongside our fabrication team to ensure precision and quality
Responsibilities:
Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and generate precise, build-ready shop drawings.
Oversee design projects, maintain organized 3D CAD file libraries, and manage version control.
Collaborate closely with the shop floor team, troubleshooting design-to-build challenges directly in the steel fabrication environment.
Maintain drawing control standards and ensure all detail drawings adhere to fabrication specifications.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Ability to speak Spanish is a major plus to help communicate with our diverse team!
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:

Strong background in 3D modeling and detail drafting using SolidWorks.
Experience working in or comfort with a hands-on steel fabrication environment.
Ability to take a project from initial concept to final production, keeping timelines and quality on track.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed when visiting the shop floor or handling materials/prototypes.
