Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant educational field
- Master's degree in education or a subject-related field, preferred
- Valid Texas Teacher's Certification in one or more of the following areas:
- Bilingual Education Supplemental
- English as a Second Language Supplemental
- Reading, Language Arts, or Generalist (EC-6)
- Bilingual/bi-literate in Spanish or Vietnamese, preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience
- Experience with the design, development, and implementation of language acquisition for Emergent Bilingual (EB) students
- Experience with the design, development, & implementation of EB-focused professional development, with sheltered instruction at multiple grade levels, language acquisition strategies, and culturally responsive pedagogy
