The software engineer will work closely with data scientists and end users to develop innovative analytic tools to further discovery and tradecraft around critical global challenges, then deliver innovative solutions focused on operationalizing data science. This position will support one of our government clients in Fort Meade, MD.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with data scientists as well as mission analysts to solve the most demanding strategic problemsPerform end-to-end software engineering to prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and tradecraft into the customer's corporate architectureMinimum QualificationsStrong experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Java MapReduce, Python PySparkStrong experience with statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentalsStrong experience with customer tools, architecture, data flow, and use of big dataProficiency with Jira, Confluence, Gitlab; experience with Agile methodologiesBachelor's degree plus 11-years of relevant experience or equivalentPreferred QualificationsExperience with software development processes (i.e., requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance) and programmingExperience with Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and using Large Language Models (LLMs)$191,000 - $214,000 a year The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
