2nd Shift Quality Control ChemistLocation: Lancaster, SC Shift: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (training will be completed on 1st Shift) Salary: $70,000-$80,000/year + Annual Bonus OpportunityWe are seeking a QC Chemist II to join our Quality Control team in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples while ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and laboratory procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical chemistry experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.What You'll DoPerform chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples using established analytical methods.Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and other analytical equipment.Prepare standards, reagents, mobile phases, and laboratory solutions.Review and accurately document analytical data in accordance with cGMP and GDP requirements.Investigate out-of-specification (OOS), out-of-trend (OOT), and atypical results as needed.Assist with method validation, method transfers, and laboratory investigations.Maintain laboratory notebooks, records, and electronic documentation.Ensure laboratory compliance with SOPs, FDA regulations, and quality standards.Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe laboratory environment.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another science-related field.2–5 years of analytical chemistry experience in an FDA-regulated laboratory environment.Experience operating analytical instrumentation such as: HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR.Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and laboratory documentation practices.Experience with wet chemistry techniques and sample preparation.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.Preferred QualificationsExperience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food, or consumer health manufacturing.Experience with laboratory investigations, OOS/OOT investigations, and CAPA.Familiarity with LIMS, Empower, or other chromatography data systems.Experience supporting method validation or stability testing.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Eligible for an annual performance bonus (up to 15% of annual earnings, based on company performance).Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and career development opportunities.
