Process Technician (Plastics) – 2nd Shift / Night ShiftWe are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Process Technician with experience in plastics manufacturing to support and optimize production processes during our 2nd shift/night shift operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly on the production floor, troubleshooting equipment, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and optimizing plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding, blow molding, and/or extrusion. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure efficient, high-quality output during evening and overnight production hours.Shift Details2nd Shift / Night Shift PositionEvening and overnight hours requiredOvertime and occasional weekend coverage may be needed based on production demandsKey ResponsibilitiesSet up, start up, and optimize plastic processing equipment (injection molding, blow molding, and/or extrusion)Monitor machine performance throughout the shift and adjust process parameters to maintain quality and efficiencyTroubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime during production runsPerform mold/tooling changes, machine setups, and material changeoversEnsure product quality by conducting inspections and making necessary process adjustmentsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and reduce scrapDocument process parameters, standard work, and operating procedures accurately for shift handoff communicationWork closely with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical issues during off-shift operationsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentFollow all safety, quality, and production standardsQualifications2–5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturingStrong understanding of plastic processing techniques and material behaviorExperience with machine setup, process optimization, and troubleshootingAbility to read and follow work instructions, prints, and process documentationBasic mechanical aptitude (hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment operation)Familiarity with continuous improvement practices (Lean, 5S, etc.) is a plusAbility to work independently and manage priorities during night shift operationsWillingness to work in a hands-on, fast-paced production environmentThis is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
