This position also provides resident support services as directed in individual service plans and communicates medication-related concerns to physicians and leadership as appropriate.QualificationsSuccessful completion of medication administration training, including documentationDemonstrated knowledge of medication identification, purpose, use, adverse effects, and contraindicationsAbility to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writingAbility to perform essential job functions physically and mentallyEssential FunctionsAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed by physician ordersAccurately document all medication and treatment administrationDocument events and incidents in resident recordsComplete summary documentation as requiredProvide direct care and resident support services as neededCommunicate appropriately with residents, family members, physicians, support staff, and ancillary care providersObserve residents for changes in condition and report concerns as requiredComply with infection control protocols and safety proceduresAbout Appledorn Assisted Living Center SouthAppledorn Assisted Living Center South is licensed by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a Home for the Aged.
