To start, this is a temporary position which can lead to a regular position after successfully completing a probationary period.
They start-up, troubleshoot, and operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and routinely while achieving or exceeding standard levels of production, according to specifications. This position can turn into a regular union position if the employee completes the probationary period, successfully. During the probationary period, this position will be on 1st Shift.
If the employee successfully completes the probationary period and becomes a regular employee, the position will most likely change to 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on Plant needs.Performs work in a safe manner, according to safety rules and guidelinesCommunicates with Team Lead and/or Supervisor during shift-changes and throughout shiftUnderstands and operates the HMI at the various stations along the line, to keep the line operating safely and efficientlyMonitors weight, speed, and other metrics along the lineOperates forklift to move raw materials, load carrier and move finished productMakes raw material batches in the appropriate mixer(s), according to specificationsPerforms quality control tests on the batches, per established guidelinesEnsures proper labels are being used on the taping machineFills appropriate-sized pails, drums or totes, labels filled-items and places pails/drums on palletFollows Tremco's Escalation Policy for any safety or quality concernsPerforms daily housekeeping/cleaning of immediate area and other surrounding areas, as neededDuring line down-time, performs housekeeping duties in immediate area, other areas of the plant or assist in other departmentsPerforms other duties, as assignedAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
