Machine Operator – RetreadingMarangoni Tread is a global leader in retreading technology and materials. We're growing and investing in a skilled, safety-focused team to keep our production running smoothly and to continuously improve our processes.We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our retreading production team.
The ideal candidate will set up, operate, and monitor equipment to produce compliant components per product specifications. This role emphasizes quality, safety, teamwork, and a continuous improvement mindset.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, test, and adjust machines according to product specifications using gauges and hand tools.Start machines, monitor operations, and record operational data.Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.Examine finished parts for defects; sort defective pieces by flaw type.Maintain, clean, and lubricate machines; perform basic preventive maintenance.Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety rules; report safety violations or near misses.Follow the Quality policy and standards; participate in problem solving to prevent and detect quality issues.Promote teamwork and effective communication within and across departments.Train and cross-train associates; support a continuous improvement culture.Maintain good housekeeping and orderly work areas.Perform mold changeovers and startup activities as prescribed.Assist with general facility maintenance and improvement projects.Perform other duties as assigned by management.The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.QualificationsExperience: At least 1 year as a machine operator or quality inspector.Skills: Operation Monitoring, Active Listening, Critical ThinkingOperation and Control, Quality Control AnalysisReading Comprehension, MonitoringAbility to lift 50+ lbsProficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and basic hand toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPhysical Requirements/Work Environment:Primarily indoors on the production floor; may include outdoor exposure at timesExposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, and smokePersonal protective equipment (PPE) required as neededExtended periods of standing or sitting; frequent use of measuring devices and machineryAbility to lift 50+ lbsWhat We OfferCompetitive wagesComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision; retirement plan options)Career development and cross-training opportunitiesSafe, team-oriented work environmentOpportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiativesWhy Join Us?
