Duties include start-up, operation, adjustment to proper parameters, basic preventative maintenance, and cleaning of the equipment and work areas, as well as the safe operation of a front-end loader and other mobile equipment.Job ResponsibilitiesRead job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirementsObserve dryer operation and perform adjustments to maintain set parametersReceive bulk truckloads of aggregates from outside carriersOperate a front-end loader to fill bulk material silos to meet daily production demandsPerform routine machine maintenanceStartup machinery for daily productionTroubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate maintenance needs to the appropriate personnelPerform housekeeping tasksMonitor product quality and dryer operating conditions, including temperatures, airflow, and moisture levels and make adjustments as necessary to meet specificationsMaintain production records and communicate operational issues to supervisors and maintenance personnelFollow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe work environmentIdentify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, and near-miss incidents promptlyMaintain a clean, organized work area and safely operate equipment in accordance with company standardsOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDA minimum of 1 year manufacturing experienceAbility to work with little supervisionAbility to read and interpret operating procedures, safety rules, and production instructionsCapability to use basic math skills to support operational, inventory, reporting, or transactional activitiesPrevious experience operating front-end loaders or similar heavy equipment preferredConstant work performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, weather conditions, and noiseFrequent ability to climb stairs and laddersFrequent ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, stand, sit, squatFrequently lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 85 poundsGood manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination and staminaAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, metatarsal footwear, and other protective gear as requiredDemonstrated reliability and ability to maintain regular attendance and punctualityBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
