Job Description
The Double Reach Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a double reach forklift to move, store, retrieve, and stage products within a warehouse environment. This position requires working in narrow aisles and high-bay racking while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and compliance with all safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience operating stand-up double reach equipment and is committed to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive workplace.
Essential Job Duties
* Operate a stand-up double reach forklift safely and efficiently.
* Retrieve, transport, and store pallets in high-bay racking systems.
* Perform put-away, replenishment, and order picking functions.
* Load and unload trailers when required.
* Accurately scan inventory using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Verify product quantities, locations, and labels before moving inventory.
* Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
* Maintain accurate inventory through proper product handling and scanning procedures.
* Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
* Keep warehouse aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards.
* Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as assigned.
* Work collaboratively with supervisors and warehouse team members to meet daily productivity goals.
* Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating a double reach forklift (required).
* Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating a sit down forklift (required)
* Previous warehouse, distribution center, or logistics experience.
* Experience using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
* Ability to safely operate equipment in narrow aisles and at elevated heights.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand for extended periods.
* Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work at elevated heights while operating warehouse equipment.
* Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
* Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
Work Environment
* Fast-paced warehouse or distribution center.
* Exposure to moving forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and other warehouse equipment.
* May require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling based on business needs.
