In this role, you will:Research, develop and implement risk mitigation strategiesResearch and author claims settlement agreementsManage and drive Contract Change Order execution in accordance with GE entitlement, including pursuing extension of time and other EPC claimsResearch, pursue, negotiate and obtain insurance claim recoveriesDrive Supplier recovery working in conjunction with SourcingEnsure timely and accurate maintenance of databases to track and drive risk mitigation, vendor recovery and insurance recoveryPerform pre-award risk analysis of customer contract terms and conditionsDevelopment and negotiation of terms and conditions with major subcontractorsEnsure appropriate insurance policies are in place for assigned projectsA sense of urgency and customer-focused responsivenessMaintain contract management documentation and electronic files, including contemporaneously obtaining and managing critical back-up documentation for delays, claims, back-charges and rejectionsWork closely with Project Managers to ensure timely submission of contractual notifications / deliverablesDraft Change Orders, letters, replies and notifications to customersProvide contractual analysis and interpretation on project commercial issues and drive to successful resolution and closureObtain Management authorization to release new projects via Electronic Order Release system (eARS) in a timely mannerMaintain eARS and issues Internal Change Orders as requiredVisit customer sites and lead Contract analysis of problemsPrepare and present claims mitigation presentations to customersAbility to travel to US and Latin America project sites as requiredAbility to work in cross functional teams remotely locatedQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's DegreeMinimum of 5 years contract administration experienceMinimum of 5 years project management experience or equivalent experienceExcellent English speaking and writing skillsClaims management experienceContract reading and writing experience Desired CharacteristicsStrong presentation and negotiation skillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management Ability to handle many complex issues concurrentlyExcellent written and oral communication skillsAdvanced skills in contract terms and conditions interpretation and developmentSolid understanding of Business Law fundamentalsPersonal computer and software experience including preparation of complex computer graphics presentationsFive plus years claims management experiencePrime contract commercial experience (domestic and international)Construction claims negotiation experienceDeveloper or EPC Experience, preferably in the Power IndustryProject Management Leadership Program (PMLP) Graduate
