Pipeline Commercial Operations & Business DevelopmentThe Pipeline Commercial Operations & Business Development role is responsible for maximizing the commercial performance of pipeline assets while supporting strategic growth initiatives. This position operates at the intersection of commercial strategy, customer engagement, contract management, and market analysis, supporting both ongoing operations and new business development efforts.
The role requires strong analytical capabilities, industry expertise, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, legal, finance, scheduling, and commercial teams.Essential Job Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day commercial activities for pipeline assets, including contract administration, tariff application, quality, and volume trackingMonitor throughput, capacity utilization, and revenue performance; identify and execute optimization opportunitiesEnsure compliance with commercial agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policiesDevelop and maintain relationships with producers, shippers, refiners, and other key stakeholdersCollaborate with scheduling, operations, and accounting teams to resolve imbalances, invoicing issues, and customer inquiriesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for pipeline systemsIdentify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities to increase utilization and revenueDevelop and support commercial strategies for system expansions, new connections, and greenfield projectsConduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-makingContribute to long-term commercial planning and asset optimization initiativesOther Job Responsibilities:Demonstrate commitment to company core values — Integrity, Ownership, Urgency, Alignment, and Innovation — in all daily responsibilities and interactions.Actively support and contribute to the company's mission and vision through reliable, high-quality workQualifications:Ten (10) years minimum experience in the oil and gas industry.Direct and tangible experience with midstream business development and/or oil & gas marketsEducation Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college Business or Engineering Degree Highly PreferredMBA Preferred
