Position Title: 21st CCLC After-School Program Aide
Program: 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)
Dates of Employment: 9/1/26 - 4/30/27 (dependent on specific 21st CCLC program operations)
Hours: Hours and Days will be dependent on Building (CPS/CIS: Monday - Friday; CMS/CHS: Monday - Thursday)
Compensation: $20.00 per hour (approved timesheet to be submitted weekly for payment)
Site Locations: CPS, CIS, CMS/CHS
Position Summary
The 21st CCLC After-School Program Aide supports teachers and program staff in implementing high-quality academic enrichment and youth development activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program. This position assists with daily program operations, student supervision, and the implementation of activities to support students' academic growth, social-emotional development, and overall well-being in a safe, supportive learning environment.

Position Summary
The 21st CCLC After-School Program Aide supports teachers and program staff in implementing high-quality academic enrichment and youth development activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program. This position assists with daily program operations, student supervision, and the implementation of activities to support students' academic growth, social-emotional development, and overall well-being in a safe, supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with the set-up and clean-up of materials and equipment for daily academic and enrichment activities.
- Support teachers in delivering lessons aligned with program goals, including academic support, enrichment, and youth development activities.
- Utilize program materials and resources to assist with the implementation of lesson plans and activities.
- Implement positive behavior supports to maintain appropriate discipline and a respectful, inclusive learning environment consistent with youth development practices.
- Encourage respect for personal property, program materials, recreation equipment, and facilities.
- Assist with the supervision of students during program activities, including emergency drills, assemblies, snack times, and recreation periods.
- Maintain awareness of the health, safety, and well-being of assigned students and report concerns to the supervising teacher or program coordinator.
- Assist the teacher with required program documentation and reporting, including attendance sheets, injury reports, snack counts, and behavior records as required by 21st CCLC grant guidelines.
- Support the implementation of program expectations related to safety, student engagement, and grant compliance.
- Attend and actively participate in all required staff meetings, orientations, and professional development sessions related to the 21st CCLC program.
- Currently holds an Aide/Paraprofessional certification for Ohio
- High school diploma required; college coursework in education, youth development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children or youth in an educational, recreational, or community-based program preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
- Commitment to supporting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- BCI/FBI Check is required.
