Our small but mighty team moves fast, thinks creatively, and believes in shipping products that users love. We help teams across ICF shepherd applied‑AI products from proof‑of‑concept to production grade applications, acting like a startup within the larger organization. Projects have included augmenting technical assistance teams for healthcare, data extraction and fraud detection for energy utilities, and natural language exploration of large datasets. Our clients include both internal teams and external clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn by building end‑to‑end features using modern web technologies like React, TypeScript, Python, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experiment with modern AI technologies including LLMs, context engineering, and AI‑powered user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to create intuitive user experiences and provide technical input on product decisions.
  • Work with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices including Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
  • Contribute to technical architecture decisions while learning best practices for code quality, testing, and system reliability.
  • Use data and user feedback to inform product development through analytics, A/B testing, and user research insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • By start date, a minimum of 30 completed college‑level credit hours is required in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S. per contract requirements.

  • Some hands‑on experience with programming (any language) through coursework, projects, or previous roles.

  • Enjoys wearing multiple hats and tackling diverse technical challenges.
  • Values shipping quickly while maintaining quality and technical excellence.
  • Passionate about creating exceptional user experiences.

Preferred Domains of Expertise

  • Design: UI/UX experience, prototyping, user research, or design thinking methodologies.
  • Product Management: Understanding of user needs, product strategy, or experience with agile methodologies.
  • Frontend Development: Experience with JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, or modern web frameworks.
  • Backend Development: Experience with server‑side languages, databases, APIs, or system architecture.

Benefits

  • Nationwide Remote Office (U.S.) living stipend: $34,392.00 – $58,466.00.
