Position Overview
OnPoint Industrial Services is seeking a Safety Supervisor to support a long-term construction project in the Tyrone, PA area. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional looking to take on a hands-on field safety role with a long-term project and potential for continued work.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Safety or a related field, hold a GSP designation, and have approximately 2-5 years of construction safety experience. Candidates with additional safety certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHST are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and jobsite observations to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Conduct employee safety training, toolbox talks, orientations, and emergency preparedness training.
• Investigate safety incidents, injuries, near misses, and other events; complete required documentation and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with emergency response activities and coordinate appropriate response procedures when necessary.
• Ensure safety equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and readily available.
• Monitor jobsite compliance with OSHA regulations and established project safety requirements.
• Perform job hazard analyses and risk assessments and recommend appropriate controls.
• Work closely with project leadership, supervisors, subcontractors, and employees to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and provide coaching and guidance to field personnel.
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, inspections, and other required documentation.

Qualifications

• Safety degree required; GSP preferred/required.
• Approximately 2-5 years of safety experience, preferably within construction or civil construction.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
• Additional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHST, OSHA 30 , or related credentials are highly valued.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with project management and field personnel.
• Strong ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to confidently promote and enforce safety expectations in the field.
