2026 Future Talent Program – Clinical Sciences and Study Management Intern at Merck, located in Rahway, NJ.
This full‑time summer internship begins in May/June 2026 and lasts up to 12 weeks. The role is part of the Global Clinical Trials Operations department and focuses on planning, execution, and close‑out of clinical trials within a program.
Responsibilities
- Assist clinical trials teams with planning, execution and/or close out of clinical trial(s).
- Participate in team meetings and complete virtual training on trial planning, execution and close‑out.
- Track trial timelines and use project‑management tools to support project delivery.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders (study sites, vendors, committees, etc.) to support clinical study objectives.
- Work independently and proactively collaborate with colleagues.
Education Minimum Requirement
- Full‑time student pursuing a BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Pharmaceuticals, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Research, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Biology, or other relevant disciplines.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
- Analytical ability to review trends, design and create reports and/or presentations.
- Ability to summarize data and trends in writing.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Project management experience (e.g., delivering projects by specific dates, overcoming obstacles, MS Project).
