Computer Scientist PositionsJT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.JT4 is seeking entry level to senior level computer scientists for career opportunities in broad and diverse fields with career advancement.

JT4 is the Prime Contractor delivering engineering and technical services to develop and test leading-edge technologies for our nation's aircraft weapon systems and aircrews across open air test ranges.All positions under this requisition are located in Las Vegas, NV.Responsibilities vary from entry level to leading teams in solving complex projects. Examples of job responsibilities are:Advise team and project managers on technical problemsInteract with customers and project managers on a regular basisUse judgment and initiative in developing analytical and computational technologies and methodologies for problem solvingInterpret customer requirements and develop and analyze the most appropriate approach to solve technical problem solvingWork with team members to develop the most appropriate approach to solve technical problemsAssist in the design of system/software and associated design documentationFunction as the system architect overseeing the overall design and configuration management of systemsParticipate in design reviewsImplement design through software coding or hardware and appropriately document the design implementationPlan and execute unit, integration, and system testingParticipate in maintenance and sustainment activities of system/softwareSupport pursuit of new business efforts, lead proposal efforts, and act as a technical consultantPerform other job-related duties, as required.Requirements - Education, Technical, and Work ExperienceComputer Scientist IA bachelor's degree in an associated discipline is required for this position.Knowledge of computer-based systems and applicationsProgramming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasksFamiliarity with systems engineering and software development lifecyclesEffective verbal and written communication skills.Computer Scientist IIA bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and either two years of related experience or a master's degree in an associated discipline are required for this position. In addition, a Computer Scientist II must possess the following qualifications:Experience with computer-based systems and applicationsProgramming skills in languages used for job-specific programming skillsFamiliarity with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniquesComputer Scientist IIIOne of the following educational requirements must be met for this position:A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of four years of related experienceA master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of two years of experienceA PhD in an associated disciplineIn addition, a Computer Scientist III must possess the following qualifications:Experience with computer-based systems and applicationsProgramming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasksFamiliarity with the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniquesExperience with systems engineering and software development lifecyclesEffective oral and written communication skillsGood planning/organizational skillsComputer Scientist IVOne of the following educational requirements must be met for this position:A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of eight years of related experienceA master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of six years of experienceA PhD in an associated discipline and a minimum of four years of experienceIn addition, a Computer Scientist IV must possess the following qualifications:Demonstrated expertise with computer-based systems and applicationsExcellent programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasksExperience in the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniquesExtensive knowledge of systems engineering and software development lifecyclesEffective oral and written communication skillsGood planning/organizational skillsAbility to work under deadlinesComputer Scientist VOne of the following educational requirements must be met for this position:A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 14 years of related experienceA master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experienceA PhD in an associated discipline and a minimum of eight years of experienceIn addition, a Computer Scientist V must possess the following qualifications:Demonstrated expertise with computer-based systems and applicationsSenior-level programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasksSenior-level expertise in the application of industry standard hardware and software design and documentation techniquesExtensive knowledge of systems engineering and software development lifecyclesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent planning/organizational skillsAbility to work under deadlinesComputer Scientist VIA master's degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 16 years of experience or a PhD in an associated discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience are required for this position.
