After School Care Program AssistantPosition available: August, 2026Position Purpose: The candidate must have a positive attitude and serve as a role model to participants in the program. Before and after school care program staff must enjoy working with school-aged children/teens.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensuring safety of all children in the programSigning children upon arrival and out when they leaveCreating an enriching, fun, and safe environmentPlanning activities for children of all agesInteracting positively with children and their familiesWorking independently as well as with a teamPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the principal or pastorEducation and Experience:A high school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCandidates must be at least 16 years oldProtecting God's Children Certificate and Background Check requiredA background in education and/or college course(s) in recreation education is a plus but not requiredChildcare work experience with children of all ages preferred but not requiredOther training may be required after employment beginsWork Schedule:Before school (Monday-Friday 6:30-9:00am)Meets on regular school days when school is in sessionAfter school (Monday-Friday 3:00-6:00pm)Meets on regular school days when school is in sessionHourly Range: $15.00-$23.00Final hourly rate will be determined by relevant years of experience in a similar job combined with education and professional licensure.Benefits: Paid personal leave days.Physical abilities that are commonly associated with the performance of this job:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, feel with hands, reach with arms, walk up or down multiple flights of stairs, and be physically able to perform duties as assigned, including the ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds if needed.Works in standard office and school building environments but also has ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.To apply for this position:Complete an online Frontline Applicant Tracking application and upload required supplemental materials.
