After School Program AssistantAssists in the daily administration of the South San Antonio ISD After School Program.Essential FunctionsAssist students in completing daily homework assignments.Check to make sure homework is done correctly.Help record and maintain the student information.Supervise and monitor participants during hand washing and bathroom breaks.Supervise and monitor participants during indoor programming and free play.Supervise and monitor participants during outdoor programming and free play.Provide appropriate First-Aid to participants as the need arises.Set up for nutritional snacks.Clean up areas after snacks.Clean up after participants have left.Other duties as assigned by After School Program Facilitator.Work Environment/Physical DemandsAbility to read, interpret and communicate information effectively.Ability to work alone or in groups.Ability to solve practical problems.Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.QualificationsHigh School diploma.One-year experience in childcare.Days: Monday-FridayHours: 3:00-6:00 pmPay: $18/hourSites: Armstrong ES, Five Palms ES, Benavidez ES, Hutchins ES, Carrillo ES, Price ESStart/End Date: TBD
