1st Shift Tooling Assembly Supervisor

1ST SHIFT TOOLING ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR NEEDED - JONESVILLE, MICHIGANA Leading Automotive Supplier near Jonesville, Michigan needs a 1st Shift Tooling Assembly Supervisor. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise Toolmakers and ApprenticesPlan and schedule all tool room jobs as per timeline.Control all heat treated components from outside suppliers.Schedule ordering of tooling components and suppliesAssist Tool Room Manager in product scheduling.Assist Lead hands in troubleshooting die build problems.Plan tool room equipment maintenance.Assist in quoting, design, troubleshooting and development as required.Staff and evaluate tool room employees.Resolve issues with other managers such as press time, sign off, shared equipment etc.Maintain CAD files and system as per company's standards.Liaise with Production, Engineering and New Build Departments.Create CNC surface files, when required.Perform duties of Tool Room Manager in his absence.Record daily job numbers and hours on punch card.Other duties as required or directed in order to accommodate the customer.Operate all Tool Room Equipment.Statistical Process Control (SPC) SkillsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:CAD / CAM KnowledgeProgressive Die Knowledge is a MustAutomotive Metal Stamping Expertise is NeededMust have previous Tool & Die Maker ExperienceGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) skillsPrevious Tool Room Supervision Experience is RequiredA Journeyman's Card or Tool & Die Certificate is PreferredKnowledge of computers and software including Excel, and Word.Good understanding of International Standards Organization (ISO) and Quality Standards (QS) system.TO APPLY:If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to submit your resume in Microsoft Word format to: treat all resumes with strict confidentiality.
