1st Shift Material Handler - WarehouseThe Forklift Operator, Warehouse performs a wide range of warehousing duties, requiring knowledge of the facility's storage plan to ensure efficient material flow.
Responsibilities include preparing loads for shipment, loading and unloading trucks, and placing finished goods in warehouse and production areas.Key ResponsibilitiesAudits of incoming material to include raw material inspections and verifying approved manufacturerUnloads incoming foil in a safe and efficient mannerChecks the quality of incoming materialsPlaces incoming material in proper location/aisleLoads empty racks to be returned to vendorLoads baled scrap trucksShips rejected metals to vendorsOperate fork truck in order to move goods and materials. Complete fork truck checklist daily, before operating liftRoute finished goods to prescribed storage locationsTake inventory of stored materialsExamine stored materials regularly, report damage and ensure that damaged goods are sent to production for repackagingAssist in daily cleaning and organizing of warehousePulls product and stages outbound orders for shippingChecks outbound orders to ensure correct items and quantities are being shipped and customer requirements are metResponsible for accurately completing documentation related to outbound shipments, recording date codes, number of pallets shipped, and number of CHEP pallets used on the orderLoads outbound shipments as required and ensures all outbound freight is properly loaded and securedPerform any other duties as requested or requiredSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseStamina sufficient to function effectively and work needed hours during extremely plant busy season.
