Manufacturing SupervisorResponsible to ensure policies and procedures are followed throughout the plant. Supervises a specific area of the manufacturing plant with responsibility and demonstration of model behavior for safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and employee relations.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for all parts being built to the manufacturing plan and customer specificationsProvide training and direction consistent with training requirements dictated by TS16949 documentsEnsure any accident or near miss report investigation are accurately completedMonitor scheduled work to meet customer requirements and ensure labor is managed efficiently and effectivelyEnsure material is available for Operators to meet schedulesMaintain specific control measures to provide traceability throughout the manufacturing processFollows all schedules and requirements pertaining to LPA's and Focus Safety AuditsResponsible for ensuring production records (scrap, rate board documentation) are maintained dailyResponsible for attendance, overtime, and overtime equalization dailyArrange, conduct and or oversee team meetings to ensure communication of important information, including shift huddlesSupports an attitude of team work and continuous improvementUnderstands the importance of quality and assists in the achievement and maintenance of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certificationsMay, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this descriptionEducation and Qualifications:Four year degree or two year degree in pursuit of a four year degree with three to five years in supervision and / or more than four years practical experience in supervision / managementProblem solving and analytical skills to gather and interpret production informationComputer competency required, spreadsheet, charting, and word documentationWillingness and ability to travel, as necessaryWork Environment/Work Conditions:Professional Office EnvironmentMust wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floorTravel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when requiredEquipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injuryPosition Type:RegularAdditional Locations:Additional Information:Cooper Standard is proud of its diverse workforce and committed to providing equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, genetic information, physical or mental disability, age, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
