Diesel Mechanic/MaintenanceWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Seguin Service Center. This role is essential in diagnosing issues, adjusting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Responsibilities Include:Forklifts: Maintenance and repairsSemi-Trucks: Servicing and repairsPallet Jacks: Ensuring operational efficiencyHydraulic Motors and Hoses: Maintenance and troubleshootingAugers: Repairs and maintenanceTire Repairs: Repairing and mounting new tiresVehicle Washing: Washing vehicles as neededKey Responsibilities:Diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.Comply with Department of Transportation rules and regulations.Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson's policies and procedures.Communicate and interface with management and other personnel.Capable of reading and following instructions as well as technical manuals.Learn skills in welding, hydraulics, power transmissions, and machine tool practices.Knowledge of DOT requirements relating to equipment maintenance.Job Requirements:Must have Diesel Mechanic experience.Must have a minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience.Rehire Criteria:Must have 90 days since the last term date.Not eligible if terminated 3 times or more.Pay Range: $19.65 – $25.60/hr based on experience.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day.Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.Environmental Tolerance:Work performed in a noisy environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees.Additional Skills:CDL is a plus, but not required.Apply Today!
