A company in the Morristown area is looking to add a skilled 1st Shift CNC Machinist Toolmaker to their team! This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong training programs, and excellent growth potential.
Job Duties:
- Independently set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision machining equipment
- Machine and repair high-precision mold cavities and components
- Perform measurements and inspections on machined parts to ensure accuracy
- Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure quality standards
- Perform fitting, assembly, and preventive maintenance on tool shop equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete all required documentation
- May occasionally travel to other facilities, customers, or suppliers
- Lift and handle up to 35 lbs

Schedule:
- 1st shift primary schedule
- May be required to work alternate hours or overtime as needed for high-priority projects
CNC Machinist Toolmaker's Requirements:
- Hands-on machine shop operations, including lathes and mills (both manual and CNC) required.
- CNC Lathe Programming experience is required.
- MasterCam Programming is a plus.
- Surface grinding experience preferred; EDM experience a plus
- Experience machining various raw materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics, including calculation of appropriate speeds and feeds for best balance of precision and output.
- Experience with rubber (or plastics) molds is strongly preferred; alternatively, experience with machining of casting dies, stamping dies, jigs and fixtures and other precision components (i.e. not “production” machining) will be helpful.
- Experience with lean systems, 6-Sigma, & continuous improvement concepts is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs
- Post-secondary machining or tool & die training preferred
