Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1st Grade Teacher to join an elementary school team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, implement instructional plans, and support the academic and personal growth of young learners.

The School Teacher is responsible for delivering curriculum, maintaining effective classroom management, building strong relationships with students, and collaborating with administrators and fellow educators to promote student success.

Responsibilities

  • Teach curriculum and deliver engaging instruction to 1st grade students.

  • Create a classroom environment that promotes learning and student development.

  • Maintain effective classroom management and positive student behavior.

  • Follow instructional plans and educational standards.

  • Collaborate with school administration and fellow teachers.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff.

  • Monitor student progress and provide appropriate support.

  • Ensure student safety and well-being throughout the school day.

  • Maintain compliance with school, district, state, and federal educational requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.

  • Active teaching license/certification as required by state and district regulations.

  • Ability to effectively implement lesson plans and instructional strategies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain a safe, productive learning environment.

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred

  • One year of classroom teaching experience.

  • Current CPR certification (if applicable).

  • Current Health Certificate (if applicable).

  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray as required.

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour

  • Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,312.50

  • Overtime paid in accordance with contract guidelines.
