Upfitters operates upfit centers in Denver, Chicago, Milwaukee, and the D.C. area and ships products nationwide via usupfitters.com.We Are Seeking An Experienced 12v Electrical Installer To Join Our Growing Team!Essential Job Functions And DutiesInstallation of strobe lights, power inverters, dome lights and other auxiliary aftermarket productsRead individual work order and assemble all product prior to installTrack, order and maintain all supplemental electrical parts and equipmentEnsure product meets quality requirementsMaintain a clean, safe and well-organized work bayAdhere to strict safety and quality control production standardsComplete other duties as assigned.Position Qualifications And Entrance RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school a plusPrevious electrical and mechanical experience or completion of an accredited trade/technical school preferredOne (1) year of 12v electrical automotive wiring experience requiredStrong background in electrical trouble shooting preferredPrevious work experience using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic toolsCandidates must successfully complete criminal and submit to a motor vehicle background checkASE certified (or in-process) preferredWelding experience is a plusSkillsSoldering experience requiredSolid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to use hand, power and pneumatic tools as requiredAbility to follow diagram, written and verbal instructionAbility to work with others and possess good communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentAble to function capably in a production environment; working around moving vehicles, assembly and installation baysFrequently lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Must be physically capable of standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, leaning, etc. on a daily basisAbility to work in a loud environmentParticipate in required company safety and training programs and PPE guidelines.
