Field Service Technician IThe Field Service Technician I is responsible for performing vegetation management services across a wide range of customer sites. The position requires hands-on fieldwork, attention to safety, and the ability to operate effectively in diverse outdoor environments. Seeking a motivated, self-driven, strong sense of ownership individual and if you don't mind a bit of travel, we encourage you to apply!The Field Service Technician I reports to the Operations Manager and has a non-exempt FLSA status.The Field Service Technician I is responsible for:Demonstrating our five core values (Safety, Others, Integrity, Initiative, and Passion)Site Maintenance: Lawn mowing around tower compounds and guyed wiresVegetation Management: Applying herbicides to manage unwanted plants and prevent fire risks.Site Accessibility: Maintaining access roads and clearing brush to ensure team accessTravel 75%Work Environment: Primarily outdoor, often involving strenuous physical labor and weather handling chemicals, and operating machinery.Proficient in generating and analyzing application reportsWhen tower season is done assist on other duties as right of way clearing and bare ground herbicide application.Perform preventative, routine maintenance on vehicles, heavy equipment, and spray equipmentClean or service machinery to ensure operating efficiencyComply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations while operating a vehicleAdhere to safety procedures including conforming to all OSHA standards and properly using personal protective equipment (PPE)Develop skills and knowledge to obtain core herbicide applicator licensesDevelop skills and knowledge on the proper application of growth regulatorsAdhere to company policies and proceduresConfer with supervisors to make operational decisionsParticipate in company meetings, trainings and state licensure programsPrioritize building strong relationships by effectively communicating with our customers, their needs, and expectations, to deliver exceptional customer service and a positive experiencePerform other duties as assignedOpterra Solutions, Inc.
