Linux Systems AdministratorLinux Systems Administrator Location: Aurora, CO. Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Citizenship Mandatory: Due to our US federal government contract, candidates for this position are required to be a US Citizen and will be subject to a background investigation.

Job Description: ITEC has an immediate need for Linux Systems Administrator to fill a critical role in integrating security and compliance into our DevSecOps pipeline, maintaining our security postures, and staying up-to-date with security trends and technologies. The ideal candidate will have expertise working within a modern, dynamic CI/CD environment and be comfortable with both IT and Cyber Security disciplines to include Linux systems administration, containerization, and CI/CD code scanning, and will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. This position will advance the capabilities of the Assessment, Analysis, and Data Development (A2D2) team to develop internal tooling along with optimal AI/ML interface approaches designed to manage, interpret, and create tools for the future architecture.

The individual will:Oversee and maintain the day-to-day operation of Linux-based network servers, cloud-based environments, and virtual environmentsImplement, administer, and troubleshoot security, data recovery, and network infrastructure solutionsConfigure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to operative systems, network devices, and custom applicationsIdentify, analyze, and resolve system issues in a timely and accurate fashionPerform routine network startup and shutdown procedures and monitor system performanceMonitor network security and implement security policiesWork with vendors and contractors to resolve outstanding issuesDevelop and implement system backup and recovery policies and proceduresEnsure system and data security and integrity through consistency, validation, and error checking routinesPrepare and implement reasonable, secure methods for the collection, storage, and disposition of dataMonitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, errors, and inconsistenciesCollaborate in the design and implementation of data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive informationRequirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator with experience implementing Cyber Security controls Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures Knowledge of Kubernetes/Openshift and AWS services Familiar with container security scanning procedures and remediation within CI/CD pipelines Security+ Certification Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Desired Skills: Other relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Server+) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Proficiency in major database management systems (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL)Benefits ITEC is a wholly owned subsidiary of ManpowerGroup Public Sector.
