About the Role

Complete Logistical Services is seeking a qualified 100 Ton LiftBoat Captain to safely command and operate a liftboat in support of assigned offshore operations. This role is responsible for maintaining vessel readiness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading safe, efficient watchstanding and operational execution.

Success in this position means consistently meeting safety, environmental, and operational standards while ensuring the vessel is properly managed, crew are effectively led, and all required certifications and documentation remain current.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead all vessel operations as the commanding officer, ensuring safe navigation and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain continuous situational awareness during transit, positioning, and operational phases of liftboat activity.
• Ensure watchkeeping standards are followed and that bridge and operational procedures are executed accurately.
• Verify that all required onboard safety systems, equipment, and documentation are maintained in proper working order.
• Conduct pre-operation planning and risk assessment to support safe execution of assigned work activities.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, including drills and readiness aligned with Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3) requirements.
• Manage communications and procedures using GMDSS practices, ensuring appropriate readiness and operational compliance.
• Ensure personnel are prepared for water survival requirements, including T-HUET (Tropical Huet for client) or BOSIET.
• Supervise rigging-related operations in accordance with API-RP-2D rigging standards.
• Confirm compliance with TWIC requirements and maintain required safety access documentation (including Safegulf/Rig Pass).
• Promote an inclusive safety culture by coaching crew on safe behaviors, reporting hazards, and supporting incident prevention.

Requirements

• Valid MMC with current dates.
• 100 Ton rating with Officer of the Watch endorsement (STCW II/1) on license.
• Basic Safety Training and VSO/VPDSD (with valid/active dates).
• Current USCG Medical Certificate with valid National and STCW dates.
• Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3) certification.
• GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate.
• Water Survival certification: T-HUET (Tropical Huet for client) or BOSIET.
• Rigging certification meeting API-RP-2D standard.
• TWIC.
• Safegulf/Rig Pass.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with a demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to communicate clearly, maintain calm judgment under pressure, and support a respectful, inclusive onboard environment.
