As an EMA, you will play a critical role in resolving disputes related to reimbursement, differing opinions between healthcare providers, and complex healthcare matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert medical opinions to resolve disputes regarding denied health plan claims.
- Serve as a neutral third-party expert when there is a disagreement between independent medical examiners or healthcare providers.
- Youre reviewing insurance denials from health plansnot treating patients. Your job is to decide if the care should have been approved.
- Your medical opinion will be given a legal presumption of correctness unless clear and convincing evidence to the contrary is presented.
