We're partnering with a global investment firm who are actively seeking a hands-on 100% Remote Incident Response Leader who can own IR strategy and execution for the organization. This role requires someone who can both handle technical response and shape the overall program, while effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders-including legal, compliance, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the incident response function end-to-end: strategy, preparation, detection, containment, recovery, and post-incident improvements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for IR, including coordination with external partners or MSSPs.
- Develop and maintain playbooks, runbooks, and readiness exercises.
- Advocate for resources when needed and build a roadmap aligned to business risk.
- Communicate effectively across different audiences-technical teams, executives, and legal/compliance stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement through metrics, automation, and lessons learned.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years experience, with strong technical depth in incident response and detection engineering.
- Confidence working independently and leading during high-pressure situations.
- Experience collaborating across IT, security, and business functions.
- Excellent communication skills with adaptability for different styles (technical vs. executive vs. legal).
- Familiarity with compliance considerations and regulatory requirements.
- Programming or automation experience (Python preferred) is a plus.Base salary ranges from $200,000 - $275,000+ depending on candidate interview performance and overall experience. Total compensation include base + annual bonus (extremely competitive).
