Special Education 1:1 Paraeducator
This is a 6.5 hours per day position, 5 days per week. The Special Education 1:1 Paraeducator provides individualized support to a student with special education needs as determined through the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and educational team. Working under the direction of certificated staff, the paraeducator supports the student's access to instruction, participation in school activities, social-emotional and behavioral development, safety, and increasing independence across educational settings. This position is assigned to support the needs of a specific student. The nature and level of support may change based on the student's IEP, educational needs, progress, placement, or other determinations made by the student's IEP team. This position may include recess/lunch supervision.
