About the Role
Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems focused on processing-intensive analytics and large data set manipulation. This role includes oversight of software development teams and ensures adherence to software development methodologies and quality standards in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
Review and test software components for compliance with design requirements
Document test results and resolve software problem reports
Apply software development and design methodologies appropriate to the environment
Provide input to system design including software reuse and integration of COTS/GOTS software
Collaborate with development teams to ensure project completion within constraints

Qualifications & Requirements
U.S. Citizenship Required
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required
Technical Skills:
Experience with Java, Spring, and other Java-based frameworks or Python
Knowledge of database tuning and optimization
Experience with Kafka, including data flow customization
Familiarity with log analysis, Elastic Stack, and OpenSearch APIs
