Program Specialist
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Operate daily schedule and implement activities as planned.
· Advocate with and for the individual in a variety of situations.
· Respect the dignity and uniqueness of each person.
· Assist individuals to overcome barriers and challenges to establishing and maintaining relationships within the community.
· Work in partnership to promote the individual’s emotional, physical and personal well-being.
· Respect and safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of the people we support and their families as stated in HIPPA guidelines.
· Promote and practice justice, fairness and equality for each individual supported.
· Prevent, recognize and report abuse towards the individual.
· Adhere to the Code of Ethics and Core Competencies as stated by the OPWDD (Office for Persons with Developmental Disabilities).
· Support the Agency’s mission, vision and values.
· Adhere to electronic time and attendance procedure within designated timeframes and communicate with your supervisor regarding correction requests.
· Complete all mandatory/Agency training within required timeframes.
· Maintain and report vehicle logs and outing expenses to Program Coordinator.
· Perform other related duties as required.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· 21 years of age or older
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Must have a driver's license for at least 3 years and have a clean driving record.
· Effective communication, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to advocate for others.
· Ability to work well with a team and in a fast-paced environment.
