1st Shift Quality Systems Supervisor
Job Details:
The Quality Systems Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure smooth QA operations and compliance with GSF, customer, and regulatory agency standards for food and packaging quality and safety.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
1- Identifies, investigates, and troubleshoots food processing problems and non-conformances to ensure compliance with product and packaging consistency, safety, and quality standards and to increase production efficiency (25%)
2- Supervise up to 10 to14 employees in a team-based environment (25%)
3- Interacts with plan personnel to provide QA and safety-related information (25%)
4- Updates procedures, and compliance with product and packaging consistency, safety, and quality standards and to increase production efficiency (25%)
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or related field of science from an accredited college or university
Experience:
2 years of relevant work experience, with an understanding of food safety and regulations and supervisory experience.
During Interview Client will Ask these Screening Questions:
1 Walk me through a HACCP plan you personally owned or led in a USDA regulated food manufacturing environment. What hazards were most critical, how did you manage CCPs, and what corrective actions did you personally drive?
2 Describe your experience controlling pathogens in a raw protein or ground beef operation. How did you manage environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, and trend analysis and what actions did you take when results were out of spec?
3 Tell me about your direct interactions with USDA/FSIS. Have you managed audits, NRs, or enforcement situations? What was your role, and how did you resolve regulatory findings?
