POSITION Substitute Library / Media Aide
LOCATION Rocky River, OH
PAY RATE $15.00 Per Hour

Dedicated School Staffing is proud to support Rocky River City Schools for the recruitment of substitute school based employment opportunities. Substitute aides play an important role in our schools by ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
Catalogs materials.Assists students/staff with the retrieval of information and materials.Maintains an orderly circulation system
Processes loans and returns and prepares overdue notices
Keeps books, periodicals, pamphlets, etc., properly shelved
Oversees the cleaning, repair, and replacement of library/media equipment and materials. Mends books/periodicals.Performs minor equipment repairs
Discards outdated or damaged materials following board-adopted procedures
Inventories the library collection and media equipment as directed
Helps students/staff use library/media computers, peripherals, and equipment (e.g., videos, CD-ROMs, audio tapes, etc.).
Assists teachers with the operation of audio-visual equipment
Complies with district procedures to account for the collection of authorized student fees and fines for LRC materials

Requirements
Clean criminal background.
Three (3) positive professional references.
Experience working with school aged children.

After Hire (Contingent)
Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide Permit ($25), or higher license.
FBI & BCI Background checks dated within 12 months (Cost varies per agency).

After Hire (Contingent)
Part time, on-call
Enrollment in School Employees Retirement System (SERS)
