Mechanic in Training Water Facilities

We’re looking for a Mechanic in Training to join our team in Dodge City, KS. This is a hands-on role supporting maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, pumps, and mechanical systems in water and wastewater facilities. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, dependable, and able to perform manual labor in varied conditions.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, motors, pumps, and piping.
Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting of motors (10 HP+), valves, and control systems.
Support electricians with motor panels and electrical component repairs.
Operate and maintain power tools, diagnostic tools, and lifting equipment.
Work in confined spaces (lift stations, wet wells, manholes) and around raw sewage.
Use computers to complete electronic work orders and reports.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Must live within 30 minutes of Dodge City
Mechanical troubleshooting experience with motors/pumps/valves
