Gantry Crane Technician
OPERATING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The crane shall be primarily powered by D.C. Batteries converted to alternating current power for all the crane operating systems.
PRIME MOVER SYSTEMS SHALL BE POWERED BY ELECTRIC MOTORS AND PLANTETARYS DRIVING THE FOLLOWING CRANE SYSTEMS
Minimum 80 AMP (12 Volt / 24 Volt) Alternator is required.
Two-125 HP Hoist Motors direct coupled to planetary drive systems integral to the hoist drums providing consistent, reliable, safe and proportional load lifting.
Two-50 HP Motors direct coupled to planetary drives with single chain reduction providing proportional torque for the crane gantry function.
Two-7.5 HP Motors direct coupled to Helical Bevel-Parallel Shaft drives providing the traverse (Trolley) action for the positioning of loads.
Two-10 HP Motors direct coupled to Helical Bevel-Parallel Shaft drives to provide proportional cab elevation position.
Two-10 HP Motors direct coupled to planetary drives to provide multiple steer configurations such as 90 degree pivot.
These Electric Motors shall be controlled by a V.F.D. (Variable Frequency Drive) system, reliable in nature, and provides a smooth proportional operation of all controlled functions, with full diagnostics.
A 460 Volt 3 Phase 100 KW generators is minimum requirement.
110-volt exterior working and travel lights on the side beams. Four 500 watt Quartz lights on each top beam, one on each corner and four 500 watt Quartz in the middle two on each side is required. (Minimum of eight lights is required.)
A 110-volt stanchion light package is required.
A 110-volt outlet to be located inside the cab, as well as inside of the engine and electrical compartments are required.
Interior cab and instrumentation panel lights.
Container latch indicator lights required.
All electrical wiring to be sufficiently loomed.
Drive lights between cab and tire.
Engine Compartment requires Two halogen 12/24-volt lights.
Power Batteries type D with protective covers with easy access for maintenance and service.
Power Batteries to be maintenance free type.
Removal and replacement of Batteries to be convenient and accessible from the ground level.
A Battery Monitoring and Management system to be accessible from ground level and located in the Battery / Generator Compartment.
Instrument panel Display on the HMI to include:
Oil pressure
Water temperature
Volt meter for engine system
