Position Overview

We're seeking passionate individuals who share our vision of using African music and dance as a ministry. As an Afrobeat Performance & Ministry Intern, you'll help create dynamic worship experiences that blend traditional African rhythms, contemporary Afrobeat, and spiritual expression, while primarily working remotely with opportunities for local community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Help develop innovative ways to integrate Afrobeat and African dance into worship experiences

- Assist in creating digital content that teaches African rhythms and dance movements

- Support the planning and execution of community worship performances

- Collaborate on virtual workshops teaching the spiritual significance of African musical traditions

- Contribute to our social media presence, sharing the joy of African worship music

- Help coordinate remote rehearsals and virtual collaboration sessions

- Participate in community outreach through music and movement

Required Qualifications

- Passion for African music, particularly Afrobeat

- Strong foundation in or willingness to learn African rhythms and dance

- Heart for worship and ministry through performing arts

- Excellent digital communication skills

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently

- Basic understanding of social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with African dance or drumming

- Background in worship ministry or performance

- Knowledge of Afrobeat and African musical traditions

- Previous experience teaching dance or music

- Content creation skills (video editing, audio production)
