We're looking for an Energy/Mechanical Engineer, Certified Energy Manager to join our growing team, supporting innovative energy and infrastructure projects across commercial and institutional sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful projects that reduce carbon emissions while developing your technical expertise and leadership skills.
You'll carry out energy audits, engineering studies and energy management services while helping clients identify practical ways to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. You'll also work closely with project teams, contractors and clients from the early design stages through to project completion. This role offers variety, collaboration and the chance to see your ideas become reality.
This position is based in INF Associates’ NYC office and requires regular presence in the office and at project sites. Limited remote work may be permitted on occasional basis, subject to business needs and manager approval.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver on-site energy audits, retro-commissioning and engineering feasibility studies.
Design mechanical and electrical energy solutions backed by technical analysis.
Prepare cost estimates and business cases for energy improvement projects.
Support construction management and project close-out activities.
Coordinate projects with clients, contractors and project partners.
Present technical proposals and attend client meetings.
Support incentive and rebate applications for energy projects.
Manage team workloads and project priorities.
Specify suitable manufacturer equipment for each application.

The Person
To succeed as an Energy/Mechanical Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, you'll have:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management or a related discipline.
At least five years' experience in energy engineering or building systems.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or a similar industry qualification.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, controls and building envelope systems.
Experience preparing cost estimates and financial analysis for energy projects.
Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
Experience with LL84, LL97, ASHRAE guidance, energy modelling software, LEED accreditation, construction management or utility incentive programs would be advantageous.
