Production Engineering Specialist
Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following:
• Coordinate production engineering activities for automotive component programs from production preparation through mass production.
• Review engineering orders, change requests, technical drawings, and customer specifications, and coordinate required production changes.
• Maintain production engineering documents, project information, and manufacturing data using SAP, ERP, CAD, and related systems.
• Support the installation, modification, testing, and production readiness of manufacturing lines, equipment, and tooling.
• Analyze production processes, equipment conditions, and manufacturing performance to identify opportunities for improved quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Investigate production and quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend appropriate corrective actions and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, internal departments, and overseas headquarters to address engineering issues and support project requirements.
• Recommend and implement practical, cost-effective improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment configurations, and production methods.
• Recommend practical and cost-effective production methods, equipment configurations, and process improvements for current and future automotive and electric vehicle production programs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• More than two (2) years of relevant experience in production engineering, project engineering, manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, process improvement, new product launch support, or a related engineering function.
• More than two (2) years of experience utilizing SAP, ERP, CAD, or similar manufacturing software to support engineering change control, production planning, manufacturing analysis, project coordination, and production operations.
