Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation using Java or JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber (BDD) to build scalable and maintainable automation frameworks. This role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
Strong programming experience in Java or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
Experience using Cucumber (BDD) and writing Gherkin feature files.
Strong knowledge of TestNG or JUnit.
Experience with Maven or Gradle for build automation.
Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Strong SQL skills for backend/database validation.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with API, database, and end-to-end automation testing.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized testing environments.
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter is a plus.
Experience working in enterprise-scale applications with high-volume transactional systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java/JavaScript, Selenium, and Cucumber.
Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
Develop and maintain BDD test scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Automate REST API testing and backend validations.
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall software quality.
