We are seeking an experienced .NET Programmer Analyst to join an Agile/Scrum team supporting the modernization of an enterprise transaction platform. This role focuses on a partial rewrite of core systems using microservices and modular architecture.

In this role, you will design and build robust backend services and application components using .NET Core and C#, collaborating closely with solution architects, cloud engineers, SQL developers, API developers, and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Backend & API Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance .NET Core backend services and REST APIs.
• System Modernization: Contribute to legacy system modernization using microservices and modular architecture patterns.
• Data & Database Integration: Collaborate with SQL developers to implement efficient data access patterns and integrate backend systems with ETL pipelines (e.g., SSIS or Databricks).
• Cloud & DevOps Integration: Integrate application components with Azure-based cloud services and support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to deliver software increments on schedule.
• Optimization & Quality: Debug, troubleshooting, and optimizing application performance across all layers.

Core Qualifications & Requirements
• 7+ years of professional application development experience using .NET Core and C#.
• Strong background in building REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience consuming and integrating with SQL Server in Azure VM environments.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Experience utilizing Azure DevOps or GitHub for automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience working within structured Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating backend services with data pipelines/ETL frameworks.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Bonus Skills
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and distributed architecture concepts.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Background working with high-availability or high-transaction enterprise platforms.
• Experience in transportation or transaction-processing domains is a plus.
