Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education
The client is seeking a Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education to provide campuswide leadership in sustaining and enhancing the quality of the undergraduate academic experience. This role offers strategic direction to advance undergraduate academic success, deliver high-impact learning opportunities, broaden student access and pathways, and shape academic policies that support retention and achievement. The Vice Provost and Dean collaborates with disciplinary deans, Academic Senate committees, and the Division of Student Affairs and Success to improve student outcomes, foster academic belonging and engagement, and promote a holistic, student-centered academic experience. The role oversees a multidivisional shared services unit, including college provosts who lead the academic component of the college experience, the Educational Partnership Center, Summer Session, Academic Advising, the Academic Integrity Office, and Global Engagement. Reporting directly to the Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, the Vice Provost and Dean serves as the principal liaison between campus administration and the Academic Senate regarding undergraduate academic matters.
