Vice President of Business and Finance and Chief Financial Officer

The client seeks a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP and CFO) to provide executive financial leadership and help advance the organization at a key point in its development. Reporting to and partnering with top leadership, the VP and CFO will advise senior stakeholders and the Board on strategic decision making, resource management, and long-term fiscal sustainability while serving as a leadership liaison to relevant board committees. The VP and CFO will direct budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, investments, cash management, and debt management, and will oversee stewardship of the organization’s financial and physical assets. In addition, the role will guide planning, financing, and implementation of capital management activities, including land acquisition and leases, and will serve as the organization’s Compliance and Risk Officer. The successful candidate will bring senior-level financial executive experience with a strong record across strategic planning, financial planning and management, accounting, and budgetary and regulatory compliance, as well as demonstrated capability in strategic asset/liability management and managing diverse operations. The role requires strong communication skills, a solutions-oriented approach, and an ability to empower and optimize a high-performing team, along with a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competency; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, with an MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
