The provost provides strategic direction and executive leadership for all Academic Affairs and Academic Support units. Key responsibilities include planning, development, and continuous assessment of academic programs; leading faculty recruitment and appointment processes; overseeing tenure and promotion; and advancing scholarly, creative, and service activities. The role also supports institutional strategic planning, academic resource allocation, and the cultivation of a culture focused on caring, innovation, and inclusive excellence across the university. Working closely with the President and a wide range of campus and external partners, the provost will help ensure academic priorities align with the institution’s broader goals. The position emphasizes collaboration and stakeholder engagement to strengthen educational quality and student outcomes. In this leadership capacity, the provost is expected to bring an inclusive, forward-looking perspective that supports faculty and institutional effectiveness.
