Audiologist Independent Contractor (Public Schools, Houston Area)

About the Role
Spenceton Educational Evaluation Services is seeking a licensed Audiologist to provide school based audiological services for public schools across the Houston area. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive contractor pay, and the opportunity to support students through high quality evaluations and screenings.
Responsibilities
Conduct audiological evaluations for students referred through the special education process
Administer and interpret hearing screenings and diagnostic assessments
Prepare clear, compliant evaluation reports aligned with IDEA and TEA requirements
Provide consultation to campus staff and parents regarding hearing concerns, accommodations, and intervention strategies
Review outside audiological evaluations submitted by families or external providers
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as needed to present findings
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all federal, state, and district guidelines
Travel between assigned Houston area public school campuses as needed
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology
Valid Texas Audiology License
Experience in school based or pediatric settings preferred
Strong report writing and communication skills
Ability to pass a background check (IdentoGO)
Reliable transportation for travel between campuses
Valid Texas driver’s license and appropriate insurance coverage
