Paid Video Participant Short On-Camera Conversations

Get paid for short, natural, unscripted video conversations. No experience needed.

We're looking for people who are comfortable on camera to record short video conversations for a research video dataset. No lines to memorize, no auditions, no experience required. Anyone can apply if you're comfortable being yourself on camera and showing natural emotion, you're a great fit.

What you'll do

You and a partner hop on a video call and have a genuine conversation. Each session is 3 minutes long. You'll pick a topic from a list it's just a starting point, and you improvise in your own words. The goal is a real, expressive, natural chat, the kind you'd have with a friend.

How it works

Session 1 First recording & feedback: you record your first short session. Once it's approved and we've sent you feedback, you move on to the rest.
Sessions 2 6: you record five more short sessions.
Pay: $40 per pair for completing the full set of six approved recordings that's $20 each for you and your partner, paid via [PayPal/Wise].
Each session is 3 minutes 18 minutes of recording in total across all six.

What each session involves

Record a 3-minute improvised video conversation with a partner (you sign up in pairs bring a friend, partner, or housemate)
Choose a topic from a list and chat naturally nothing scripted
One person's camera on a tripod or steady surface; the other can be handheld
Good lighting, upper body in frame, facing the camera

What you'll need

A smartphone or webcam with decent video quality
A quiet, well-lit room and stable internet
A partner to record with (or let us know we can help match you)
Comfort being natural and expressive on camera

Recordings are used for AI training, and every participant signs a consent form covering the use of their face, voice, and likeness. Please only apply if you're comfortable with this, and with the structure above ($40 per pair $20 each for completing the full set of six short sessions).
