Billable Hours - 1,900

Salary range - $215,000 to $250,000

Compensation increases for attorneys are merit-based according to a combination of key factors, including:

Quality of work

Billable hours

Pro bono activities

Recruitment activities

Firm committee participation

Business development efforts

Bonus is formulaic and is made transparent to the Associate. Its hours based

Fee origination bonus. Generate and collect $10k in originations does not matter where it comes from you receive 10% of that $10k in originations.

And they're looking to add another associate!

You'll be working with their hospitality team. Candidates will have the opportunity to join their unique practice that represents some of New York’s most popular restaurants, boutique hotels and entertainment and nightlife venues.

This position involves a significant amount of day-to-day employment counseling with respect to wage and hour, discrimination and general employment matters.

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.

Experience as a first-chair handling litigation concerning discrimination and/or wage and hour claims.

Experience with class action wage and hour litigation is required.

Experience counseling on New York State and New York City employment matters.

Some experience with labor relations in the hospitality industry is preferred.

Familiarity with the New York State Hospitality Wage Order strongly preferred.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
